Q: WHAT IS XTREME HIP HOP?
Xtreme Hip Hop is a revamp of traditional step aerobics, fitness. Xtreme Hip Hop is
a high energy, cardio step aerobics class with routines set to old and new school hip
hop. It makes you want to get up and move while getting a great calorie burn! This
class caters to all fitness levels and everything is taught in class by our qualified
instructor Leigh. Xtreme Hip Hop creator Phillip Weeden's motto is….DON'T STOP!
DON'T QUIT! DON'T GIVE UP!
Q: WHERE ARE CLASSES LOCATED?
Classes are located at venues around the North Narrabeen area with occasional pop up classes all around the Northern Beaches.
Q: DO I NEED A GYM MEMBERSHIP?
No! Classes are come as you like (spaced are limited to 10 per class). No ongoing
commitment or membership required. However, you may get addicted so come at your own risk!
Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO THE CLASSES?
All equipment is provided including a step platform and yoga mat. Please BYO
water bottle, towel & energy (& optional dance moves). As most bclasses are
outdoor, we also recommend wearing sunscreen and bring a hat.
Q: ARE THE TRAINERS QUALIFIED?
Leigh our Xtreme Hip Hopper and Head Trainer is a qualified PT and a certified
Xtreme Hip Hop instructor. Please note, Leigh is not a professional Hip Hop dancer so please excuse any ‘in the moment’ dance moves ;)
Q: DO I NEED TO USE A STEP PLATFORM FOR THE CLASSES?
No. Steps will be provided but you do not have to use the steps if you don’t feel
comfortable. You will still get a great workout doing the routine on the ground.
Q: WHAT ARE THE CLASS TIMES?
Although we will try to keep the same times each week, this may vary so please
keep an eye on our Facebook page for weekly updates of class times and to book in. Remember, spots are limited to 10, so be quick!!
Q: WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN A XTREME HIP HOP WITH LEIGH CLASS?
Fun, mental stimulation, achievement, improve balance, coordination and agility,
burn calories and boost mood and energy levels… and did we mention fun without
even knowing you are getting a great workout.
Each class is one hour long starting with a warmup, Xtreme Hip Hop routines and
then cool down. There is a small break after every song to grab a drink and get your
Q: DO I NEED TO BE SUPER FIT AND KNOW THE STEPS FIRST?!
Our classes cater for EVERYONE – whether you are a beginner, advanced, very fit, not very fit… ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE is made to feel welcome and come and have some fun.
Leigh will teach you the basic "call-outs" at the beginning of each class and then
they are repeated throughout. There will also be options for those who have got the
hang of these and want to take it up a notch and do some advanced moves.
Q: WHY DID LEIGH START XTREME HIP HOP?
Leigh’s reason for bringing this to the beaches is to HELP people in a different way.
Those who don’t want to go to a gym. Those that do go to a gym but want
something different. It’s about doing something fun while getting a great workout
at the same time.
